The Trump Presidency

As an outsider the fact that the following clip of The Speaker of the House could be so justifiably damning of a sitting President is utterly mind blowing...
That the legal representative of the President can utter the words he did is ...like wise...
"Trial by combat"
Incitement to violence, and the subsequent death of so many is on him...

Take it with a grain of salt.
Many of the politicians in this country play a game of smoke and mirrors.
Instead of doing something representing the will of the governed
The democrats blame the republicans for their inaction
and
The republicans blame the democrats for their inaction

These people do not represent us.
They represent the plutocrats as good little toady oligarchs will.
The vitriol is mostly a fantasy designed by knaves to make trap for fools.

According to one opinion poll up to 40% of Republicans still support the actions of the intruders ... including but not limiting to the "beating to death with a fire extinguisher" of a police officer...
Perhaps it is time for politicians to stop being political and actually be rational leaders that have the nations welfare at heart and not their careers.
I understand your point but in these times ( social media, globalization, apocalyptic anxiety) making use of mass hysteria as a lobby tool is an extremely dangerous activity.

the reality that was displayed for all to see is not something you should take with a grain of salt.
In fact it is that exact attitude that is complicit in allowing this whole situation to develop.
When an elected representative who is elected to provide leadership uses inflammatory rhetoric that is deliberately designed to inflame a mob he really does need to be taken seriously and not with a grain of political salt.
As an aside:
Correct me if I am wrong but...the phrase used by Rudy G. "Trial by combat" harkens back to the civil war and the use of his words was deliberately designed to stoke violent protest amongst those who have strong Confederate convictions and "know" what Rudy G was referring to...
...and the most amazing thing is that he is acting on behalf of a sitting President. Inciting a civil war against himself... LOL

Most poles are.

and
your quoted seems too outlandish to be real.
Just like Trump still being president is outrageous yes?
( he should have been removed from office ages ago)
I guess the COVID catastrophe unfolding in the USA is also too outrageous to be real.

You see the point I am making is that the outrageous is actually happening...whether you choose to discount it or not...

Does not science call for replication?
I just did a little research of the poll mentioned in a video clip. It was 45% not 40% apparently.

Suspect:
Detail of the poll is currently unavailable. Probably because it is too hot and probably flawed.

Either way given the weird USA situation regarding Trump it is quite plausible...and their "grain of salt"complacency certainly doesn't help.

while as amusing as it is for me to see another mod Youcall out james for his dishonesty, hypocrisy, and his self righteous bullshit.
The moderator concerned has been telling lies about me consistently for years now. It suits you to believe them, since you have your own reasons for being disgruntled with me. If you had a clean record here, your comments might be worth something. With your history of warnings and petty whining, they are worthless.

and is self righteous bullshit because here you are complaining about death threats when you sat on your ass and did nothing after a right wing gun nut threatened to shoot me if he ever saw me.
Don't tell lies.

and yes i know im probably going to get a ban for calling out his royal highness king james but fuck it this place has lost a good deal of posters due to the mods insistence in protecting its most toxic members a direction that seems to come from james himself
The fact is, people choose to come and go for different reasons. It is convenient for you to lay blame on me; it suits the false narrative you're pushing. You're entitled to your opinion, of course.

One would think that after so many years and so many posters calling him out for his dishonesty and hypocrisy, he might pause to reflect upon why that is. But apparently not.
Wrong. I often reflect on why that is.

You know what I find? I find that it almost inevitably happens just after I moderate somebody on account of their engagement in activities that are unacceptable on sciforums, in accordance with our mutually-agreed community posting guidelines. Now, that could be just coincidence, or it could be sour grapes/chip on the shoulder. You decide which is more likely.

And the number of posters who've left over the years is staggering. Sure, some of it is just natural attrition, but I also know a fair number--whom I liked very much--who left specifically due to his, heh, "moderation." I think I'm ready to follow their lead.
Don't let the door hit you etc. etc.

Now there is good journalism for you and a reiterative use of the language.

I do hope that soap is all you need to buy. Salt is on special at the moment.. I believe body bags are in short supply at the moment due significantly to Trumps ineptitude and delusions about COVID-19 being believed by his supporters.

so
You believe that, huh?
Why?
I have friends in 5 different states there and they are all reporting similar circumstances. And then compare with local media and national media and reasonable opinion can be formed.
Why do you disbelieve it?

so
You believe that, huh?
Why?
Images of garbage bags being utilized rather than body bags, on national TV here were rather revealing...
What do you think it means when a corpse is covered with garbage bags instead of a body bag in a hospital setting?
What do you think it means if there is evidence of a shortage of such a necessary item such as a body bag?
