    Yes, it was just word association. But you did ask for my thoughts.....and that's what they were.

    I should explain: there was for many years a well-known restaurant in London called the Gay Hussar, named long before the word acquired its modern connotation. But when I saw you were thinking about hussars, my brain instantly imagined a fat, climate-change denying Trump voter in the US Midwest, having an erotic fantasy about young men in tight uniforms on horseback.

    Now that I have looked them up, I remember having heard of them before... somewhere. It's an interesting perspective on history, a time when Poland and Lithuania were great powers.
