For the record, there is no such thing as "Lebanese Cuisine", Lebanese food is Syrian food because that food was eaten long ago by Syrians, when there was no Lebanon
Do not credit them that. You love Syrian cuisine? Of course! Homos, Taboulli, Kebab...all delicious foods
Whose food are these? Seish Kabob, Yuro, Baklava (Spelling). I always get them at a Greek take out place. But my friend from Cyprus told me that it is Cyprus/Turkey food. He said Greek food taste terrible with grape leaves and rice stuff...
The word kabab (کباب) is ultimately from Persian[1][2] but originally meant fried meat, not grilled meat.[3] In the 14th century dictionary Lisan al'Arab, kebab is defined to be synonymous with tabahajah, a Persian word for a dish of fried meat pieces. The Persian word was considered more high-toned in the medieval period, and as a result, kebab was used infrequently in Arabic books of that time. Only in the Turkish period, with the appearance of the phrase shish kebab, did kebab gain its current meaning, whereas earlier shiwa` شواء had been the Arabic word for grilled meat. However, kebab still retains its original meaning in the names for stew-like dishes such as tas kebab (bowl kebab).[3] Similarly, "kebab halla" is an Egyptian dish of stewed beef and onions.
Baklava or Baklawa is a rich, sweet pastry featured in many cuisines of the former Ottoman countries
Should have also contributed to the topic at hand: Canada is by far the best place in the world to live.
That iceberg? Got to be kidding.
Are they Egyptian citizens?
Anyway, the Government is...touchy. Lack of freedom. Corruption in authority. Cleanliness of the cities. Highly class oriented-rich get beaten on when they don't stick to their places, poor are looked down on. A million little things.
Whats the status of native Canadians like?
crazyfreespirit
They're Egyptians who settled here (lived in Egypt for at least 45 years).
Thanks for your answer, though. I'll have to ask them next time I see them.
What's wrong with your description of the treatment of Natives? I know tons of Natives who find nothing wrong with this system.
