You do know that in the academic world wikipedia is never used as reference...right? I would rather that you get me a published journal article.

Sure, but then academics would not accept Encylopaedia Britannica either. This forum is not the academic world. Reputable encylopaedias and dictionaries are fine here. And Wiki is pretty reliable for most purposes in science, I have found.

On the question itself, do you dispute that there is a significant problem of alcohol abuse in Russia? Or are you just messing about?

Well I think you should be prepared to, for most science matters. The writers seem generally pretty good. I have found one or two poorly written ones, but the overall standard seems quite high to me and cross-checks well with other sources.

On matters with a political twist it can be different I agree.

Like i said. It would have been nice if you could give me a published article on this issue. I am not trying to argue but rather i would like us to come to one conclusion
