Duration is not based on time . Duration is based on the physical interactions between physical objects . Which is not measured in any form . They just interact by there very Nature .

Duration is time. 1 year of duration is the time it takes the Earth to make a complete lap around the Sun. That is 1 duration of time. 1 century of duration is the time it takes for the Earth to make 100 laps around the Sun. That is 1 duration of time.

Yes it is, with a clock. A clock measures duration. It is 1 hour of duration from 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM. That is 1 hour of duration. 3:00 PM is a POINT IN TIME, and it has no duration. 4:00 PM is a point in time, and has no duration. Between those 2 points in time is 1 hour of duration.
