Lawful does not equate to morally correct, nor factually justified. Trump has the authority to sign that EO, he has no basis in fact for doing so... This is apparent given far more US Citizens have been murdered by terrorists from the countries he exempted than the ones he barred.
Coincidentally, his exemption list matches quite nicely to the countries he has business with...

The sheer fact that Trump made his oath on inauguration day to uphold and defend the constitution means that he should be congratulating Sally Yates for acting as an agent on his behalf and do as he pledged to do.
Trump swore on the bible to uphold protect and defend the constitution. This means he must encourage as part of his obligation any others to do the same... including homeless guys and girls sleeping in the gutter...(all USA citizens) do you follow?
By sacking Sally Yates for defending the constitution Trump has broken his own pledge...
