Oh? I'm sorry - where did I utter the words "Magical Realist is a child pornographer" in my post? Please, show me. You do know what an underage fantasy* is, right? It doesn't actually involve minors - instead it is 18 - 20 year Olds done up to look even younger.

*we had to deal with this a lot at a previous job - whilst doing data backups for people who brought their computers in for repair, we saw the names of the files being transferred. Anything remotely suspected to be child porn had to be turned over to the manager to verify if it was/wasn't, and if it was it was given to the police. People have pretty fucked up fantasies... all I can say about that.

I am going to do my best to take you seriously with this argument, because frankly, how you could even ask it for, I presume, clarification, is beyond me..

1) Anti-vax poses a danger to society and affects the health and wellbeing of all and can result in death.

2) Anti-abortion also poses a danger to women (such as forcing an 11 year old girl to give birth after being raped), not to mention they deny women rights over their own bodies and can result in death.

3) Child porn is illegal for obvious reasons, is harmful to children, damages them physically, emotionally and psychologically for the rest of their lives and yes, in some cases, raping a child can and does lead to the death of said child.

Do you need me to explain why your comparison and analogy is a bad one?

You compared reading my posts to seeing child porn. That's a direct and offensive comparison.

And you claim spreading bad science and poor logical reasoning wouldn't harm society? After all, look at what is happening in schools... evolution cannot be taught and many places are teaching creationism. Bad ideas about fairy tails are just as dangerous as bad ideas about real life. Either someone is susceptible to all those forms of poor logic, or they aren't. Which is it?

Is that why you don't talk about your own bad ideas about God punishing sinners in hell, religious people having the right to not service gay people, or God healing people thru prayer? Do you know how many people have died waiting for God to answer their prayers?

Funny, I don't recall ever saying religious people had any right not to service differently oriented folks (protip - they don't - it's discrimination). As for healing through prayer, I believe miracles do happen - I also believe we are an intelligent species capable of using tools and medicine, and that "God helps those who help themselves", ergo praying for healing while refusing treatment is dumb.

Good try though - unfortunately for you, my personally held beliefs are not in question here, as I don't go trying to present them as facts.

Uh..you're in a Science forum. Religion happens to be one of those dangerous fairytales that you were complaining about. At least here it is viewed as such by the majority.
 
At least Kittamaru isn't claiming to have DNA evidence of God which is somehow both 100% Human and yet is still totally irrefutable proof of the Divine.

Indeed - which is why I don't pass it off as fact. You do understand that key difference, right? Hell, I only even talk about my beliefs when asked - Hence why my private, personal belief system is not at all related to this discussion.

A valiant attempt to divert the subject though.

I see. So instead of believing something on DNA evidence, he believes in it just because the Bible says so. And that makes his belief better than mine exactly how?

You can't even see the hypocrisy of a believer in fairy tales morally condemning and censoring someone else for being a believer in fairy tales can you?

I am not condemning you for believing in fairy tales - if you could hold a rational discussion about them, instead of being dishonest and disingenuous, there would be no problem - in fact, you would find I would be quite willing to intervene should people become uncivil. Unfortunately, you prefer to claim your belief as fact and then act as stated in order to sustain that untenable assertion.

There's nothing immoral about anyone posting their beliefs here. Everybody here does it, I guarantee you. You're doing it now in fact. Is that preaching? No..It's called discussion.

I hold rational discussions about the evidence I post. I rarely if ever even talk about my beliefs. Proof? What's my belief regarding ghosts? Regarding ufos? You don't know do you? Because I don't discuss them. And they're pretty much in flux anyway. I simply discuss specific examples of sightings and videos and photos. And that's not preaching anything.
 
In fact, I would propose an experiment. A proper debate on whether Bigfoot, alien visitation, spirits, etc are real; firmly grounded in the rules of a formal debate.

Conversely, a discussion about what Bigfoot, alien visitation, or spirits existing might mean/entail, without any attempt to prove their existence... a thought experiment if you will.

Such a discussion could be quite interesting so long as everyone plays fair

Again - I'm not claiming my beliefs are real - you, on the other hand, insist such fairy tales are real (and lately that someone is snagging one of them). That is a bit of an important distinction
