Two more reasons not to off yourself.
i've "lost" a few very important things to to me.No, it doesn't, and you know it.
My reason is much the same as why I don't place small quantities of various flavours of jam between each my toes while singing an off-key rendition of Hey Jude. I can see no benefit in it.This a not a cry for help. I'm simply positing a hypothetical for philosophical discussion. In a culture that does its damnedest keeping this subject from even being talked about, I dare to broach it here. So why NOT commit suicide? Wouldn't that put an immediate end to all the suffering in your life? A guaranteed pass to endless peace? What's a really good reason for sticking around?

If you really knew where reality led to, you would be suprized and horrified. To maintain mental health, one should minimize their exposure to reality. Avoid reality.Religious war?

So you believe in Cthulhu? Did you know H.P. Lovecraft was an atheist?Avoid reality. Reality is bad.

Bull, nothing I said precludes someone getting treatment
What you're referring to isn't treatment, it's an attempt to endure and repress depression, and then, preferrably, go on with life as usual (ie. continue the same mental and bodily practices that have brought on the depression to begin with).
